Gallicisms of Structure
Formation offerte en anglais
Deadline for registration: April 3, 2026
What can make a text translated from French sound odd?
English and French have many words that look alike but whose meanings do not precisely overlap. Good translators learn to identify them and avoid the traps they lay.
But it’s also important to identify structures that are fundamentally French and that can make English translations sound odd if left unchanged. Using examples from actual jobs, we will identify how we can make the copy flow more naturally in English.
