To offer its members a wider range of courses and help them save on registration fees, the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ) has signed agreements with partners who offer courses that might be of interest to OTTIAQ members. Under the agreements, OTTIAQ members will enjoy discounts on registration fees for courses given by the Editors’ Association of Canada (EAC), Quebec/Atlantic Canada Branch. All they have to do is specify that they are OTTIAQ members when signing up for an EAC course. OTTIAQ entered into similar agreements with the Language Entrepreneurs Forum (CLEF, used to be ATAMESL), with the Société québécoise de la rédaction professionnelle (SQRP), and with the Network of Translators in Education (RTE-NTE).
As these agreements are reciprocal, OTTIAQ members can expect to be joined by members of the above organizations at OTTIAQ courses.
To make the most of the agreements, OTTIAQ will pass on information provided by its partners to its members, just as its partners will inform their members of any OTTIAQ training opportunities.
