Practicing Within a Partnership or a Joint-Stock Company

You will find below the forms to fill out along with information respecting the practice of the profession within a partnership or a joint-stock company. The documents to be enclosed with the declaration are specified in point 7.1 of the form.

 

The Regulation respecting the practice of the profession of certified translator, terminologist or interpreter within a partnership or a joint-stock company and the Regulation to amend the code of ethics of the Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec are available from the Regulations and Standards section of the Web site.

 

1. Declaration

A declaration must be submitted to the secretary of the Order for each partnership or joint-stock company in which a certified translator, terminologist or interpreter exercises their profession.[1] The declaration may be completed by a single respondent if several members practice the profession in the same partnership or joint-stock company.

3. Authorization to require disclosure and obtain documents

Note: The certificate of professional liability insurance that must be provided by members practicing the profession within a partnership or joint-stock company is excess coverage to the individual liability insurance held by the member. The member must communicate directly with La Capitale, which will provide this certificate. The cost of this excess insurance is $14 per year per member.
